Tehran zoo
In 1992, the old zoo of Tehran of Mellat Park has been moved to the Eram Park, Eram-e Sabz.
Observations
In short
The site is located at Karaj highway and covers about 11 acres. The zoo would accommodate 290 species, an optimistic estimate. About 90 animal species are displayed on a board.
Most zoo dwellers come from Iran. The zoo shows both bear species found in the country, the Asiatic black bear aka the Himalayan Bear and the Syrian Brown Bear. The number of lions (15) in the zoo is notable. Dogs too residing behind mesh like zoo animals, are noteable.
